Canoe Avon Autumn Race 2021
21st November 2021
The Saltford Autumn race is a non-ranking event that is being run for fun. (Ignore the fact it states Halser!). The race format will be roughly the same as for a Haslar, and next year we will run the same event as a qualifying Haslar.
Course
The start for all races will be at the upstream end of the club pontons. All races start heading upstream (right when looking at the river from the club).
All races finish at the same point at the start line.
A pre-start line will be marked. Please stay downstream of the pre-start line when warming up until called to the start line.
2 Mile Race (under 14s)
The 2 mile race will head upstream, turn round the stanchion of the first bridge and back to the start. Please turn anti-clockwise.
4 Mile Race
The 4 mile race will head upstream towards New Bridge. There will be a turn bouy before you reach the bridge, outside the Boathouse Pub. Please turn ant-clockwise round the bouy and head back to the start.
8 Mile Race
The 8 mile race will use the same course as the 4 mile but do two laps.
12 Mile Race
The 12 mile race will use the same course as the 4 mile but do three laps.
