Race: Fal Hasler.
Organizing Club: Truro Canoe Club.
Courses: Divisions on Truro and Tresillian Rivers and the River Fal. Lightnings on Truro River.
Venue: Boscawen Park, Malpas Road, Truro, TR1 1SG.
Parking: Free parking at Boscawen Park, otherwise on Malpas Road.

Rules: The race will be run in accordance with the current British Canoeing Marathon Racing Committee Rules.
Participation: Canoeing and Kayaking are ‘Assumed risk’- ‘Water contact sports’ that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own action and involvement. Note that all Divisional races are on the open estuary and courses cross open water some distance away from the shoreline. All paddlers are strongly advised to wear buoyancy aids.
Safety: The provisions of ‘Rule 5 - Safety’ apply. All Div 7, 8 & 9 competitors must wear approved buoyancy aids, in accordance with rule 5) a) v). Should conditions require it, paddlers in Divs 1 – 6 may also be required to wear buoyancy aids in accordance with rule 5) c) i).

Fees: Senior: £10 per seat, Junior: £8 per seat, Lightning: £4 per seat.
In accordance with the MRC racing rules para 12.b (http://canoeracing.org.uk/marathon/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/2019-Racing-Rules-141218.pdf)
an additional fee of £5.00 per paddler in Divs 7, 8 and 9 will be charged for an Event Ticket if a current British Canoeing membership card is not produced. Event Tickets are not available for Divs 1 to 6.
British Canoeing Membership: Competitors must be current ‘on the water’ adult, family or youth members of British Canoeing of a British Canoeing Affiliated Club or purchase an Event Ticket.
Hasler points/club strips: Hasler points will be awarded for competitors wearing club strips.
Number boards: Number boards will be handed to team captains at race control before the event and should be returned by team captains as part of post-race checking in procedures.
Prizes: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Paddler/Crew in each singles and doubles Hasler division will receive prizes provided there is quorate entry in division.

Changing: Public toilets are available in Boscawen Park (see map).
Limited changing facilities will be available in the changing tent.
