ROYAL CANOE CLUB SPRINT REGATTA 2026
Royal Canoe Club is pleased to invite paddlers of all ages and abilities to our Summer Sprint Regatta.
The event is designed to provide plenty of fun racing throughout the day, with opportunities for beginners, experienced paddlers, juniors, schools and adults to compete in a friendly environment.
Events
• 500m Heats & Finals
• 200m Heats & Finals
• 100m Sit-on-Top Aussie Eliminator
• Mixed K4 1000m Races
Competitors will be grouped into ability-based classes:
Class 1 – Divisions 1-3
Class 2 – Divisions 4-6
Class 3 – Divisions 7-9
Class 4 – Minis & Schools
All competitors will race in both the 500m and 200m events, with everyone progressing from heats to finals. The afternoon will feature a fun Aussie Eliminator race and a mixed K4 event, with RCC providing boats.
Prizes will be awarded across the various classes and events.

Timings are provisional and may be adjusted depending on entry numbers.

• Toilets and changing facilities on site
• Spectators welcome
Safety
All Division 7, 8, 9 paddlers and Geoff Sanders paddlers MUST wear a BCU approved buoyancy aid.
All Junior paddlers in Divisions 1 to 6 must wear buoyancy aids unless a Royal disclaimer, giving permission not to do so, is submitted to the race organisers before the start. Please can parents/guardians of all Junior Paddlers in Divisions 1-6 complete the google form here when submitting race entry:
