Venue: River Dee, Chester. The event will be run from the CSCC dinghy
park on Sandy lane, Chester CH3 5UX (OS Sheet 117, Ref
SJ421660) GPS co-ords: N 53o 11’ 9.2” W 2o 52’ 10.4”
Please note there are major roadworks taking place on the B5130 (Sandy Lane) and you may only be able to approach the dinghy park from one direction. Please check the ‘Chester Canoeing’ or the ‘Sailing & Canoeing Chester’ facebook pages for an update on directions. We will not know until a couple of days before the event.

Refreshments: Light refreshments will be available for competitors through the day.
Rules: BC Marathon Racing Committee rules will apply.
Entries are only allowed from those paddlers who are on the British Canoeing ranking list except
Paddlers in divisions 7, 8 and 9 who must buy an Event Ticket (£5) if they do not have BC membership.
Paddlers in doubles divisions must declare their singles ranking
status at check-in or they will not qualify for Hasler points
Approved buoyancy aids must be worn by all division 7, 8 and 9
paddlers and Lightning racers. The wearing of buoyancy aids by
under 18 year old paddlers in other divisions is advised but is
ultimately at the discretion of team leaders/parents. All paddlers are
warned that there will be a considerable amount of other river traffic
using the race course and due care must be taken when racing.
All boats must have sufficient buoyancy. If you see another competitor in difficulty during the race you must go to their assistance.
Entries: Send entries via the online system. We are not using Stripe so please pay on the day but please enter on line beforehand or a late fee will be charged.

Event Ticket £5 late entry surcharge £5.
Prizegiving will take place as soon as possible after the end of the
Hasler race. There will be a prize for the winner of each quorate
race plus others as appropriate.
